NameCreaganDescriptionPatrick Creagan was born in Limerick, Ireland in 1833. He came to Australia in the 1850's.
Patrick married Mary Donnellan/McDonagh at the Roman Catholic Church at Jamberoo in 1859. Soon after the couple settled on a farm at Dunmore, 'Mayfield'. The Creagan's moved to 'Anglesboro' farm, just east of Mayfield. The farm is still owned by his descendants today.
Patrick and Mary had eight children. Sadly three children died when they were in their teens - the result of an epidemic that swept through the area.
Patrick and his youngest son John relocated to Mullumbimby and purchased land.
Patrick's eldest son Martin, remained on the farm. He married Johanna Courtney, who named the home Anglesboro, after the place of her birth. Martin and Johanna had nine children.
Patrick was a great horseman and reputedly would load his cattle onto the ship at Shellharbour, before setting of on horse to Sydney, often arriving before the ship.
