NameGreenDescriptionJohn Green was born 1816, Stickford, Lincolnshire, England to George and Elizabeth Green (nee Robins).

John married Mary Vickers at Lancashire in 1844.The couple arrived in Australia the same year aboard the ‘Briton’.

John and Mary had several children, all born at Albion Park;
Mary b.1844 (married Jacob Denniss)
Annie b.1847 (married Edward Hazelton)
John b.1849 (died 1849),
Naomi b.1850 (married Abraham Denniss)
John 1852 and
William b.1854.

Mary Green died in 1854, aged just 28 or 29.

John married Mary Ann Iles in 1855, at St Luke's Church of England, Brownsville on the 27 February.

John and Mary Ann's daughter Anne was born the 3 July, 1847 at Johnston's Meadows. She married Edward Hazelton in the Church of England School House at Macquarie River on the 11 January 1865. The Hazelton's farmed at Yellow Rock until 1912 when they retired to a cottage in Flinders Street (Tongarra Rd), Albion Park.

Selina Mary Green was born in 1867 at Macquarie River. She married John Stubbs in 1891. They lived at Tongarra on the Green family farm. John worked for various farmers in the area. Selina was a very accomplished horsewoman and competed at agricultural shows in the district. She was also a fine dressmaker and for many years was the dressmaker of Albion Park. They moved their family to Albion Park about 1902 and eventually built their own home in Terry Street. John died in 1948. Selina died on the 5 September, 1961 aged 94 years.

Henry Robert Green was a well-respected fisherman in the area and rescued James Fleet from flood waters at Yallah and was awarded a Royal Lifesaving Medal as a result. Henry and Eliza's son, William Green, Captained Albert Orange's passenger ferry 'The Lady Albion'.
