Five years later, he married Anna Maria ‘Hannah’ Slusher at Kiama.
Anna was the daughter of William and Annie Mary Schlosser (nee Artzell), who anglicised their name to Slusher. The Slusher’s were from Bavaria, Germany, and farmed at Albion Park.

George married Mary Anne Greenland and they had four children; James, Blanche, Marie and Veronica. They farmed at 'Green Valleys', presumably named after Mary Anne's family, from about the 1920's.
Their son, James Fleet was rescued from flood waters at Yallah by Henry and William Green in 1925, when he 19 years old.
Daughter Blanche married Stanley Mattinson, a WWI veteran who was severely wounded. Stan never fully recovered from his injuries, though he was engaged in dairy farming at Tongarra.
Blanche and Stan farmed 'Green Valleys', after her parents moved to 'Beechgrove' at Yallah in 1923.
Blanche and Stan's daughter, Gwendoline, married Sydney Louis Haertsch in 1944, at Albion Park. Their son, Peter, is a leading Australian plastic surgeon and was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2003 for his work treating the Bali bombing burn victims. Dr Haertsch treated Turia Pitt for her burns, at Concord Hospital.
