NameFalloonDescriptionSamuel Falloon was born in County Armagh, Northern Ireland about 1835. He married Ann McGuire in 1856 and they came to Australia the same year, aboard ‘Winifred. Samuel was 22 and Ann was 23.
The couple had eight children;

Samuel, Ann and family farmed at Tongarra until Samuel’s death in 1899. The couple had lost four of their children; three died of jaundice, just days old.
Samuel and Ann’s eldest son Joseph continued running the farm with his mother and sister Mary. The farm was on portions 53 and 18 and was known as 'Black Springs'.
Joseph's sister Jane died quite suddenly of heart disease at the family farm in 1894, when she was just 29 years old.
Margaret married Alfred Sawtell and they farmed at ‘Riversford’, Tullimbar.
Oh his retirement from farming, Joseph went to live with his sister Annie and brother-in-law David O'Keefe at Jamberoo.
The Falloon family were active members of the Tongarra Dairy Company. The Creamery was managed by David O'Keefe and Joseph Fallon was a director.
