They moved there shortly before Timothy’s death in 1896.
Timothy's son, James Buckley built the original part of the farmhouse 'Seaview', at the site we know as Killalea State Park. The original house was a rough timber sawn home built of pitsaw and ironbark, and in 1912, the rest of the house was added. James also reputedly built some of the stone walls at the farm. James farmed 'Seaview' prior to the Fraser family. James served as Mayor of Shellharbour for many years.
Timothy’s brother Daniel Buckley, married Timothy’s sister-in-law Elizabeth Murphy in 1869. Elizabeth died young, and Daniel was left to raise a large family. In the 1880’s he moved to the Bangalow, NSW.
Julia Buckley married Dennis Kelleher at Shellharbour in 1866. She died a result of childbirth in 1874.

Two of John’s siblings, Timothy and Catherine, also came to Australia in 1864, and 1880.
