In 1839, he and wife Ann Elliott arrived in Australia aboard ‘Susan’, with children from John’s first marriage –

James b.1821 (married Jane Bovard, died 1890, Foxground)
Anne b.1823 (married William Elliott, died 1905, Sydney)
Joseph b.1827 (died 1873, Sydney)
The family first lived at Figtree on the property of Mr. Shoobert, before moving to Avondale at Dapto.
John and Ann had ten children together -
John b.1840 (married Ellen Kelsey, died 1873, Sydney)
Mary Jane b.1842 (died 1861, Kiama)
Thomas b.1842 (died 1904, Gerringong)
Jemima b.1844 (married Thomas Brown, died 1926, Gerringong)
Emily b.1846 (married Robert Graham, died 1881_
Rebecca b.1847 (married William Graham, died 1884, Sydney)
Elisabeth b.1849 (died 1885 Jamberoo)
Alfred b.1851 (married Frances Jarman, died 1937, Murillumbah)
Dawson b.1852 (married Jane Jarman, died 1926, Kiama)
Emma b.1857 (married George Tate, died 1919, Chatswood)
In 1850, the family moved to Foxground and the produce made on the farm was taken to Kiama Harbour via Saddleback Mountain, for transport to Sydney.
John Blow died in 1878 and was buried at Gerringong Cemetery. Ann died in 1903.
Descendant, Doug Blow was instrumental in the formation of the Tongarra Museum (now Shellharbour Museum) and the Tongarra Heritage Society. He and his wife Daphne lived at Albion Park and contributed much to recording the history of Shellharbour. Doug and Daphne were awarded Shellharbour City Council's Australia Day Citizen of the Year in 1997 for their service to the city.
In 2002, Doug was awarded an OAM in recognition of services to community.
