The event was trained by Doug Blow of Albion Park sponsored by Sir Frank Taylor of Taylor Woodrow Construction Building Co.

Norm Morgan of Albion Park was captain and puller for the Albion Park Bush Fire Brigade Tug-of-War team for many years, judge and president. Joyce Morgan was secretary, and Life Members awarded to Joyce and Norm Morgan.

The late Doug Blow was Patron of NSW and Life Member.

Steve Bryant trained the Illawarra Police Youth Club teams and awarded Life Member.
