Thomas married Ann Keys 1874, Shellharbour. He died aged about 25 years in 1875, and was buried at the Old Sand Cemetery, Shellharbour.

Ellen married John Morrissey 1873, Shellharbour.

James and Mary Fitzgerald settled at Shellharbour where they had several more children –

Catherine b. 1856 (married Timothy Buckley 1875 Shellharbour)

Michael b.1858 (died 1887, buried Albion Park).

Mary b.1861 (married Owen McCarthy, Shellharbour)

Johanna b.1863 (married George Schreiber 1887, Shellharbour)

William b.1867 (married Julia Walsh 1896, Gundurimba)

The family farmed at Shellharbour for 33 years, before moving to the Richmond area, NSW.
