Provenance and SignifcanceSamuel Charles Atchison was the 6th child of Samuel Atchison and Clorinda Watson (nee Thomas).

On 20 February 1900 at Woolwefontein, Northern Cape Colony, South Africa, Samuel aged 24 of E. Squadron, 1st New South Wales Scottish Rifles was killed in action.
