Henrietta Bush (nee Lewis) graduated as a nurse and worked in Fiji as a Nanny.
She met and married English sailing ship Captain Edward Puttnam. Edward died when their daughter, Alice, was three weeks old.
Henrietta returned to Australia to continue nursing.
In 1906 she married Walter Bush, a shopkeeper in Sydney. They owned hotels in Sydney and Kiama and had one son, Harry.
After Walter died, Henrietta purchased land in Shellharbour and built the Ocean Beach Hotel.
Henrietta and Edward's daughter Alice, married Charles Clinton Cullen and they assisted with the operation of the hotel. DonorJones, Noel
