TitleThe residence of Alexander and Sarah BadansPhoto Number003923Date2003DescriptionThis house was built on the site of Ebenezer Russell's 'Croom' Farm. The land was part of a grant of 1280 acres given to Isabella Croker (nee Reddall), daughter of Rev. Thomas Reddall. The property was sold to Ebenezer Russell in 1840 for five shillings an acre. Russell cleared the land and planted wheat and potatoes, and later changed to dairy farming. He was an Alderman on Shellharbour Municipal Council 1859-1864. At the second Council election in 1860, his property at Stoney Creek was used as a polling place.PlaceStoney CreekLocationCroomStudioLynn Warrington
