NameMinnamurra BridgeTypeBridgeGeolocation[1] DescriptionThe Minnamurra River is the southern boundary of Shellharbour Local Government Area.
A punt was used to ferry traffic across the river at a site near the present bridge crossing in the 1800s.
Through the cooperation of Shellharbour Municipal Council and the Public Works Department a wooden single lane bridge was built in 1872.
Mr. George Laurence Fuller of Dunmore on the north of the river and Captain Charles of Eureka on the south supplied land for a road approach to the bridge.
In 1890 a second wooden bridge, two span with steel pylons replaced the old 1872 timber bridge. It was slightly east of the original bridge.
In 1964 this second bridge was again replaced with a 371 ft 5 span concrete bridge.
