The Anzac Memorial Centenary Project included collection of some 1700 soil samples from NSW, where soldiers had enlisted to fight. Soil was collected from Dunmore for the project and a service held at Margrit's home, where many of the local Dunmore boys attended school. The soil sample was preserved and displayed at the Anzac Memorial's renovated Hall of Service, next to the names of each town it was collected from.
