The following information is taken from John Reginald 'Reg' Hambly's entry on 'Find a Grave', contributed by Anne Murray (nee Hambly).
'Son of John and Honora May, Husband of "Winny", Father of Fredrick John and my Grandfather.
'Grandfather was a very quiet soul, just content with life itself, born on his parents farm "Glanworth", was to become a hard working family man. He was a sound horseman, and reckoned there was no Pony he couldn't ride !
'He was a dairy farmer for most of his life, trapped and hunted for food, skins and sport, and had once took aim at some foxes running together and as it turned out he'd got three with one shot, the story made the Sydney papers which was a great talking point in the day.
'Grandfather loved to dance and play the fiddle, play a hand of cards and just have a yarn, he enjoyed the company of all, enjoyed Cricket and Football believing that was what you did for real entertainment. I remember him like it was yesterday, he will always be missed.' PlaceGlanworthLocationDunmoreDonorColliss, EileenAcknowledgementMurray, AnneExternal LinkJohn and John Reginald 'Reg' Hambly
