AddressPioneer Drive, Oak FlatsDescriptionIn 1922, a loop line was suggested from Oak Flats crossing, traversing Stoney Range to the north and re-joining the line south of the Dunmore bends, to bring the line closer to Shellharbour Village. This scheme did not eventuate.

The Oak Flats passenger station was opened in 1925.

On 16th September 2002 the Hon. Carl Scully MP Minister for Transport, turned the first sod for a new Oak Flats rail station and interchange to include a bus interchange, car park and taxi rank. On 21st February 2003 the new Oak Flats railway station and interchange was officially opened.

The complex is located south along the line of the original station, entrance at the southern end of Central Avenue, via Stanford Drive Oak Flats. Stanford Drive named for Janet Stanford, gate-keeper.
