Description
Camouflage Net Spool Of Twine.
Used to make camouflage nets during WWII.
Provenance and Signifcance
This spool of twine was found at 'Toongla' homestead, Tullimbar.
'Toongla' is believed to have been built by Maurice Scanlan in 1875. In 1898, William Moles moved to 'Toongla' from his Tongarra property.
On William's death in 1911, title passed to his daughters, Barbara and Marion Moles.
'Toongla' house and gardens were classified by the National Trust in 1982.
