Provenance and SignifcanceRebecca/Rebekah Whitfield was born 1854, Picton, NSW. She was the daughter of William Whitfield and Caroline Philadelphia West, and granddaughter of Irish convict, Jacob Whitfield, and Mary Gowrie.

In 1873 Rebecca married William Jones at St Mark's, Picton, NSW.

Rebecca's nephew was Thomas Daniel Sweeney Whitfield, builder of Shellharbour.DonorJackson, Lilian
