NameSunnyside FarmhouseTypeBuildingFarmGeolocation[1] DescriptionOriginally part of Samuel Terry's 1817 'Terry's Meadows' estate. Subsequent subdivision resulted in a proliferation of smaller dairy farms, each with a farmhouse. Virtually all of the original farmhouses were demolished to make way for late 20th century residential development in the present day suburb of Albion Park.
This farmhouse and 'Rosetta Hill' are the only two still remaining, both now surrounded by urban development.
Sunnyside is on Lot 14 of the c1916 Russell Estate Subdivision 35 acres, 2 rods, 6 perches.
Prior to Church Street being formed, the farmhouse was accessible by a gate with a sign ‘Sunnyside’ at the end of what is now Macquarie Street, Albion Park.
Early association with the Dawes family. Joseph Dawes recorded as farmer and owner of the house and land in 1917-1919, and Norman Dawes was living there between 1920-1931.
The house was used in c1980s by housing developers, Miltonbrook, as a sales office for the development of the surrounding Centenary Estate.
