'Lake View' farm on Tongarra Road, Stoney Range (now Pioneer Drive), was Lot 1 of the Bassett Darley Estate, and originally farmed by Thomas Fenwick.

Thomas Clout's father, Percy Clout, a publican from Balgownie, purchased the farm in 1908. It was farmed by Percy's brother, Bert with Tom's help between 1908 and 1916, when Tom would travel to and from the family hotel at Balgownie by push bike.
