Henry was born at Balmain in 1880 to John Henry and Sidonia Harriet Degotardi (nee Berthold).
In 1901, Henry married Isabel Walker. They had two sons –
Albert Charles John b.1902 (died 1976, Lake Illawarra South)
Harold Edward b.1904 (married Dorothy Flora Denning, died 1981, Wollongong)
Henry served as alderman on Shellharbour Council and in 1918, was appointed to the Chief Secretary’s Department and Department of Public Health, as an Inspector of Weights and Measures.
The family moved back to Balmain where he died in 1935, aged 54 years. Isabel died in 1954, aged 81 years.
