NameBuchananDescriptionWilliam Buchanan was born in 1867 at the Manning River, NSW, to William and Elizabeth (nee Martin). He married Alice Ethel Good at Newcastle in 1909.

William and Alice operated the Farmers Emporium Store at Albion Park, after moving to the area from Milton sometime in the 1920's. They had one daughter, Zelma Alice b.1909.

William served as alderman on Shellharbour Council and was a strong supporter of the Agricultural, Horticultural and Industrial Society (AHI).

After William's death in 1943, Alice and Zelma carried on the business. When Alice died in 1952, the store was sold to George Harold Smith.
