Allen Cassilles at 83 years of age is a charter member and still a member today. With 35 years of continuous service to our community, Oak Flats is the only remaining Lions Club in the Shellharbour district with the current president Ron Gorman being available for all information on 4295 1431.
Oak Flats Lioness Club (ladies) was formed in 1985 with the first president being Betty Sinclair and the current president being Joyce Morgan and the club is still a very active club today.
2008 saw a Leos Club (junior Lions) formed at Warilla High School with Natasha Johnsen being the first president and a membership of 20 today with the current president being Jakara Gamble.
Lions are people like you -we cannot do it alone- we welcome people from all walks of life regardless of religion or creed.
Some of our support in our community in the last 12 months being Shellharbour Hospital Beds, Parkinson’s Research, Breakfast on the Lake, Wings Over Illawarra, Dragon Boat Races, Festival in the Forest, RSL, Peterborough School Learning Aids, Primary Deaf Camp, Junior Diabetes, Lions Cakes, Organ Donation, Victoria Bushfire Appeal, Drug Awareness.
