It had operated as a bakery and store early in the 1900s before Tom Chambers father purchased the business. The building consisted of the bakery, living quarters and general store. Flour was delivered by train to Albion Park Rail from the mills in Sydney. Fred Graham collected the flour in his truck, along with milk and butter from the Illawarra Cooperative Central Dairy.
