It was launched in August and arrived at Long Point jetty on Wednesday, December 16th. The steamer carried blue metal to Sydney until the quarry closed.

The wooden-hulled ss Dunmore is loading at the jetty head with stone being emptied down chutes. The jetty had been built in 1880 by R B Chambers & Co, and extended and upgraded twice by G L Fuller & Son. At the time of the photo it was owned by the South Coast Road Metal Quarries Ltd.

Note the bend to the right at the jetty head and the base of the jetty built on the remains of an earlier structure.
