The previous school in Tullimbar Lane was closed in 1965 after a fire. This, plus low enrolments, meant local kids no longer had a local school and students from the Tullimbar area were forced to attend Albion Park Public School.
The new site in the Tullimbar Village had 54 students enrolled on day one. There were two mainstream classes – a Kindergarten/Year One class of 21 students and a Year Two/Five class of 26 students plus a Support Unit containing an IO/IS class of three pupils and Multicatergorical class of four students.
The Principal Mr. John Clune came from Junee Public School and commenced work 7 November 2007. For the first six weeks he worked out of Albion Park Public School until the new Tullimbar site became available on 7 January 2008.
