A new three-roomed school was opened 10 May 1925 by the right Rev W Hayden, Bishop of Wilcannia-Forbes.
The school was extended in 1961, the first of five extensions. It was called St Patrick's for a short period, reverted to St Joseph's until approximately 1939-1940 when it assumed the name of the parish patron 'Saint Paul'.
