NameApex Club Albion ParkDescriptionThe Apex Club of Albion Park was formed following a public meeting called by Jamberoo Apex Club. The meeting was held at the Albion Park Hotel 23 May 1977. The first official meeting of the club was held at the Albion Park RSL 6 June 1977 and members were addressed by National President Graham Salter.
The inaugural dinner was held 12 September 1977 with the club receiving its charter 19 November 1977. At the time the club had 19 members.
Foundation members of the Albion Park Apex Club were Errol Ashlin, Chris Atkins, Trevor Batson, Denis Baynon, Alan Bowen, Jim Edwards, Kevin Farlow, Robert Green, Jim Hayes, Dave Lipscombe, Tom McIlwain, Jack McPhee, Roger Marsden, Ralph Moses, Colin Roberts, Stirling Scard, Keiran Shepherd, Ron Speller, and Steve Tindall.

The Apex Club was formed to be based on three things; Fellowship, Service and Citizenship.
In the club's first year some of the service schemes they completed included -
1. A clean up of Mt Warrigal Rest Home
2. Appeal for 45 degree angle parking at Albion Park Rail shops
3. Sand pit construction at a local school
4. 'Dunk the Dolly' stand at the Albion Park Show
5. Scheme to enlist local blood donors
6. Delivery and recovery of cans, and manning phones at Telethon
7. Establishment of recreation park at Green Meadows estate
8. Slave for a day raffle
9. Clean up campaign for Shellharbour Municipality
10. Erection of a fence at a local preschool
