TitleThomas Timb's coach, Albion Park 1914-18Photo Number001270Datec.1914DescriptionThomas Timbs purchased the coach business from his father, Gabriel, shortly before the First World War. The horses were stabled and the coaches kept at his father's home on the corner of Tongarra Road and Terry Street. The coaches were all made by L. R. Mood & Sons of Albion Park. They were used every day to meet trains at Albion Park Railway Station, and conveyed passengers to and from trains and outlying farms. After the war, Tom purchased a car, a Belgian Metallirgique, that carried eight passengers plus luggage. It was the first hire car in Albion Park. Tom sold his coach and hire car business to W. G. Harris in the late 1920s.LocationAlbion ParkDonorHarris, ClaudeMartin, Jack
