He owned and operated his own business manufacturing Venetian and Holland Blinds. On retirement, Kevin became involved in historical research activities in Shellharbour and Wollongong. He was elected President of the Tongarra Heritage Society in 1995, still holding that title in 2004. He has been the co-ordinator of volunteers at the Tongarra Museum since 1995. His contribution to the research and preservation of history of Shellharbour City has been invaluable. He was selected to receive the 1999 International Year of the Older Person Award recognising his significant contribution to the community of the Throsby Electorate. In 2002, he was presented with the Australia Day Achievement Award from the National Australia Day Council, Shellharbour City Council, and was awarded the Centenary Medal by Jennie George, MP for Throsby, in 2003.PlaceBlackbutt Youth CentreLocationShellharbour City Centre
