William was born 19 November 1853 and married Lydia Layton in 1888. They lived at Bundanoon and later Nashua. In the 1920's William resided at Brunswick Heads. He died in 1927 and is buried at Bangalow Cemetery.William's father, William James Snr was a well renowned dairyman in Shellharbour, alderman on the first Shellharbour Municipal Council in 1859 and served as Mayor 1870-1871.LocationShellharbourDonorSpackman, Lorna
