Boiler originally from ‘Shay’ geared loco No.2 used on the Commonwealth Oil Corporation Ltd’s Wolgan Valley Railway, between Newnes Junction and Newnes. The loco was built by the Lima Locomotive Works, Lima, Ohio, USA, builder’s number 1994 of 1907. After the COC’s operations closed at Newnes, the boiler only was sold to the National Oil Pty Ltd at Glen Davis. After the war, they, in turn, sold it to Dunmore where it was fitted to a Ruston steam shovel.
