Mary and Henry lived for a time at Mt Terry where they farmed. Henry gave up farming c.1885 to become a storekeeper at Albion Park and at this time the Fryers moved closer to the township. Henry was heavily involved and respected as an auctioneer and property development worker. He secured positions for various Dairy Farmer Cooperatives and became Chairman of the Board of Dairy Farmers Milk Cooperative in Sydney in 1908.
Henry enjoyed sports, including cricket, football and rifle shooting, and was deeply involved in the Albion Park Show Society and community activities and events for which he held numerous positions over many years, including Justice of the Peace from 1897.
In 1906, Henry Fryer left the district to take up a position at Goulburn. He was farewelled at the 'Commercial Hotel' on 28 April by the shareholders of the Albion Park Dairy Cooperative of which he had been Chairman of Directors for many years. He was also treated to a smoke concert by the Albion Park Rifle Club and presented with a gold watch.
Henry owned a milk run in Randwick c.1932. His wife Mary was blind for several years before her death in 1955. Henry died there in 1936, aged 78.
