Cooby’ was built on land originally granted to J. Paul (1400 acres) and issued in 1833.

The Coughrane family owned ‘Cooby’ from the late 1800’s. Mr. Robert Coughrane leased ‘Cooby’, Portion 2, 69 acres, to Mr Nicholas Ball from c.1911 – 1916, where Robert Smith was occupier.

Nicholas Ball purchased the property in 1917. The Smith family later purchased ‘Cooby’.
