The Ziems family owned 177 acres at Tongarra and 337 acres Yellow Rock.

Henry's son Charles Vivian Ziems enlisted in WWI. As a Private, aged 25, he embarked from Sydney on board the RMS Morea in 1917, AIF Australian Imperial Camel Corps, 17th Reinforcements, and later the 12th Light Horse Refits.DonorHenderson, Terry
