DescriptionThe name commemorates John James (Jack) Wickham (died 29.12.2006) who was Town Clerk of the City of Greater Wollongong from 1959 to 1966.

Mr Wickham was the chairman of the NSW Planning and Environment Commission. In 1982 he arbitrated between Landcom and Shellharbour Council when this open space corridor was planned.
