Hail to you people, young and old,
May gaiety invade your fold,
May kin and friends call to greet,
May neighbours hail across the street.

Hail to every walk of life;
Hail to Husband - Hail to Wife,
May all your troubles of the year
Be washed away by Christmas cheer.

Hail to every little child;
Hail to denizens of the wild,
Let ev'ry creature of the land
be greeted with a friendly hand.

And to these greetings of goodwill
We would add another still,
An none will be more cheery than
This 'Greetings' from your Shellharbour
