Description
James and Sarah Missingham.
James Missingham established a tannery business near Stapleton's Hill, Tongarra Road, Albion Park, in 1892.
The tannery was destroyed by fire in 1897.
It was rebuilt, employed nine people, and continued as a viable business until the 1920s.
James was an Alderman on Shellharbour Council 1906-1908.
Sarah and James had five children, David, William, Annie, Janie and James.
