Edith Gabb married Alfred Thomas in 1907. They lived in Sydney for a time before moving back to Shellharbour.
Alfred and Edith lived in the Thomas family home in Calderwood Road after the death of his mother Jane in 1924, and eventually moved to Jutland Avenue in Wollongong.
Alfred Thomas was the son of William and Jane (nee Pearson). He was born at Calderwood/Marshall Mount in the Thomas family home, Oakvale.
Alfred was the grandson of William and Sarah Thomas, Shellharbour pioneers who came to the area to work for Henry Osborne on his Marshall Mount estate.DonorKelly, Maurece
