The E.S.& A. Bank opened an agency in Jamberoo on 1st October 1888. The agency was upgraded to a branch in 1893. The Bank moved to the site at 26 Allowrie St in 1897. The bank manager at this time was Mr. H.K. Hill.

The building is a 19th-century weatherboard shop and residence, which has not been altered much over the years. The building now is home to the Jamberoo Antique Shop.

The bank moved to another site around 1920 and then the bank’s most recent premises were built in 1964.

E.S. & A. Bank Kiama

Built in 1859 by Thomas John Fuller (brother of George Laurence Fuller) and his brother-in-law George King Waldron. It was built as a store.

The English, Scottish & Australia Chartered Bank opened a branch in Kiama 13 September 1859. The bank was located in the north-eastern side of the Fuller building.

The first Bank Manager was Francis Bellingham.
In 1860, the building was purchased by George Laurence Fuller and he named the store Victoria Stores.

The store sold drapery, groceries, clothing and ironmongery. It was the largest store in Kiama for many years. The E.S. & A. Bank remained in the store but moved location within the building to a newer section.

The E.S. & A. Bank purchased the building in 1875 from Stephen Major.

The architect of the building was William Wardell, and the Bank contracted him to out extensions in 1885. This included a residence for the bank manager, with a ballroom.

It is a stone building rendered in masonry.
