Loose letter inside book - 'National Roads and Motorists Association NSW'. 3 September 1930. Addressed to T. Atchison Esq, Shellharbour, South Coast. Letter is in reply to letter from Atchison from previous day. Mentions there is a ferry (Peats Ferry) to cross on the road to Newcastle. Steepest grade is 1 in 20 no dangerous places. No difficulty crossing the ferry and no assistance needed. Enclosed is a description of the route from Liverpool showing how to reach the ferry without going through the city. The NRMA subscription is 1 pound, 1 shilling yearly. Signed by Assistant Secretary NRMA.

Altitude, town , distance and directions are given in both directions - Liverpool to Hornsby and Hornsby to Liverpool.

Loose sheet inside book - Double sided - Independent Order of Odd Fellows Medical Subvention, Claim. For quarter ended March 1930. Certificate - 'We the undersigned Auditors and Secretary of the Lodge, do hereby declare that the foregoing is a true Statement; that the contributions for medical attendance and medicine in respect of male members aged 65 years and over, and female members aged 60 years and over, are not different to that chargeable to members under those ages respectively; that the members in respect of whom subvention for medical contributions is claimed have been on the medical list of the Lodge for the periods claimed. The Shellharbour School of Arts was established in August 1895 when the Shellharbour Municipal Council agreed to provide the Council Chambers building in Addison Street for a meeting place until Council sold the chambers building in 1896.

The School of Arts Committee was given land and a substantial donation of cash by George Laurence Fuller to erect a new building in Mary Street opposite the Public School. The School of Arts was opened by the end of the year 1896, and with a library, served the recreational needs of the people, and continued actively as Shellharbour’s library, kindergarten, community and debating room.
