DescriptionThis home is an example of the bugalow style of architecture once common place in Shellharbour Village. The series of remaining bunglaows in Towns Street are increasingly rare examples.

The first redwood prefabricated display house was imported into Australia in 1916 from the Pasadena Hills outside Los Angeles by Richard Stanton. From this arose the Australian term ‘California bungalow’. The bungalow format increased in popularity up until the 1940s.
